"A discreet but perceptible dollop of wood sets off an equally pretty and even spicier mélange of ripe red berries trimmed in subtle floral nuances, in particular violet. The delicious and wonderfully refined middleweight flavors are quite graceful thanks to the fine-grained tannins supporting the impressively long finale that fans out as it sits on the palate. More interesting are the succulent and round yet decidedly powerful medium-bodied flavors that brim with dry extract that helps to buffer the notably firmer tannic spine shaping the lengthy finish. There is fine volume, detail and underlying tension to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that deliver fine length on the dusty and chalky finish that displays a bit more rusticity.
